Faculty

CRT's learning programmes will be delivered by an expert faculty of practitioners with direct, current experience in international commodity trade. Faculty appointments have not yet been made. This page will be updated as confirmed appointments are announced.

Appointments pending Updated June 2026

Faculty model

CRT's faculty model is practitioner-led. The defining criterion for faculty membership is direct, current professional experience in the subject area being taught — not academic qualification alone. We believe that commodity trade education is most effective when delivered by people who are actively engaged in the field.

Faculty members will be supported by CRT's curriculum design and pedagogy resources. Where specialist academic input is required — in areas such as law or regulatory frameworks — academic contributors may be engaged alongside practitioner faculty.

Selection criteria

Faculty candidates will be assessed against the following criteria:

  • Demonstrable professional experience in the relevant commodity sector or functional area
  • Current engagement with the field (not solely historical experience)
  • Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and accessibly
  • Commitment to professional standards and to the CRT Code of Conduct
  • Availability and commitment to deliver the required programme components
  • No material conflicts of interest that cannot be appropriately managed

Join the faculty

CRT is interested in hearing from practitioners with relevant experience who would like to contribute to the development and delivery of its learning programmes. If you have experience in international commodity trade and an interest in professional education, we welcome an informal conversation.

Faculty appointments are subject to a formal selection process, including review of professional background, discussion of the role and expectations, and declaration of any conflicts of interest.
