Learning outcomes

The CRT CPD framework is designed to ensure that certified professionals:

• Stay current with developments in their areas of professional practice
• Maintain and extend their competence across the seven domains of the Competence Framework
• Reflect on their professional practice and development needs
• Contribute to the broader professional community where their experience and knowledge allows

Syllabus

The CPD framework will recognise a range of learning activities, including:

• CRT specialist modules and refresher courses
• CRT live learning sessions and webinars
• Relevant external courses, conferences and professional events
• Structured self-study of professional literature and regulatory updates
• Mentoring, coaching and peer learning
• Preparation and delivery of professional presentations or publications
• Contribution to CRT consultation processes and standards development

Specific hour requirements, activity categories and recording obligations will be set by the Standards Committee and published once the framework is finalised.

Assessment

CPD compliance will be assessed annually, linked to the certification renewal process. Certified members will be required to maintain a CPD record through their CRT member account, recording activities, hours and learning outcomes.

Random audit of CPD records is proposed as part of the compliance framework. Evidence of recorded activities may be requested.

Entry requirements and terms

CPD requirements will apply to all holders of CRT certification. Failure to meet CPD requirements will result in notification and, if not remedied, suspension of certification. The specific requirements will be proportionate and achievable for professionals in full-time practice.
