Applications open (founding stage) Updated June 2026

Application process

  1. 1

    Check eligibility

Review the eligibility criteria on the Eligibility page. If you are unsure whether you qualify, contact us before applying.

  2. 2

    Read the Code of Conduct

All members agree to be bound by the CRT Code of Professional Conduct. Read it before applying.

  3. 3

    Submit your application

Complete the application form (currently via the contact page — a formal application portal is in development). Provide the required information about your professional background and activities.

  4. 4

    Review and response

CRT will review your application and respond within 10 working days during the founding stage. We may ask clarifying questions.

  5. 5

    Confirmation and activation

Successful applicants will receive a confirmation and instructions to activate their CRT member account. The member portal is in development; digital membership cards and credentials will follow once live.

What you need to provide

The application requires:

  • Full legal name and contact details
  • Professional background and current role (brief description)
  • The commodities and/or trade functions you are engaged in or interested in
  • Declaration of any conduct, criminal or sanctions history relevant to the eligibility criteria
  • Agreement to the Code of Professional Conduct
  • For Business Membership: company registration details and names of personnel to be included

CRT does not currently require documentary proof of professional experience at the application stage. A declaration is sufficient. CRT reserves the right to request supporting information where the application raises questions.

Review and decision

Applications are reviewed by the founder during the founding stage. Once governance is established, applications will be reviewed by the Membership Committee. Decisions will be communicated in writing within 10 working days of a complete application being received.

CRT reserves the right to decline applications without giving detailed reasons during the founding stage, consistent with the eligibility framework. Declined applicants may reapply after a period of 6 months, or earlier if the circumstances that led to the decline have changed.
