Roundtable Meetings
Facilitated by experienced professionals, these sessions provide a valuable dialogue with peers on current challenges and topical issues. Each discussion group has limited numbers which ensures each delegate is given ample opportunity to raise questions and contribute to the discussion.
Written materials will be prepared by the presenters for each meeting. These materials will be archived by The CRT and a library developed, accessible securely and privately to attendees through the web. The meetings will also be recorded and can be viewed again securely and privately through The CRT website.
Benefits to your organization.
For organizations with a CRT national or international membership, our regional roundtables are a tremendous way for the most senior individuals with similar roles and interests, who live and work in locality, to meet and share their successes and work together on solutions to common challenges. Your organization will save on the costs of in-house training or travel, while benefitting from highly educated opinions. Whatever type of CRT roundtable you attend, you can take the insights you learn back to your firm, and share them with your colleagues.
Personal benefit.
With an incredible opportunity to learn from a source that many argue are better than a book, video, brochure or salesperson, every senior director and business owner participating within in a roundtable, including you can learn from the best source of all, your peers. At our roundtable event’s there is no beginning, end, top, bottom or middle at this table, and there is no “leader” at the head, everyone is equal and there is simply professional facilitator for support. In a setting where everyone is equal, people are comfortable to express their opinions, share their experiences, and to be themselves. When our minds are open, and free of preconceptions, we learn.
Summary
Many attendees find the roundtables are the most valuable sessions. The small size and participants’ common experiences, similar roles or interests, allow informal and open interactions. People are comfortable sharing their experiences with each other, and often learn more from others’ real-life experiences than they do from other sources. Often a face-to- face conversation with a peer offers far more value (and enjoyment) than any on-line forum or tech link can provide.
Roundtables provide a forum for open interaction, ideas and experience sharing. They promote practical education and professional development. At the core, CRT roundtables help senior professionals connect with other like-minded peers.
